Tutorial 4 & 5: Video Production Sessions

Hi guys!
Today we will discuss www.YouTube.com and the services that this website has to offer:

"YOUTUBE"

YouTube is a very popular Web video sharing site that allows anyone to store short videos for private or public viewing. YouTube enables sharing videos among friends and family, YouTube has become a destination for ambitious videographers, as well as amateurs who fancy making a statement of some kind. Videos are streamed to users on the YouTube site (www.youtube.com) or via blogs and other Web sites.

Today we will also talk over the use of planning - in our tutorials we made short story films. To do this effectively our group planned our film out on a storyboard. The use of planning storyboarding and scripting aided our groups short film of the 'terrible teddy' because it enabled our group to brainstorm and put together a story and then enable it to be developed into a short film. with the effective use of the video camera we were able to film shots and then with the use of the computer we could cut and change footage around to produce a film. The computer device helped us to make the film more effective providing sound and image effects to make the film more exciting.

Below is the process we went through in order to create our short story film:
1. Film sequence
2. Edit sequence
3. Add backgroound music
4. Credits
5. Upload to Youtube
6. Add to blog

HOW TO BUILD A SEQUENCE
A SEQUENCE is a series of shots which tell a STORY. You must EDIT the separate shot in order to create a natural flow between shots. Each shot manages to keep the story flowing. By putting together a variety of shots with different angles and different shot sizes, interest and detail are provided. To make the film interesting and eye capturing - after every shot, change the SHOT SIZE and/or the CAMERA ANGLE ie. with the use of film editing the SEQUENCES will look smooth and professional if you observe this basic rule.
