Tutorial Eight: Posting You Tube Videos and Flickr Badges to Blogs: Explaining the process

Todays blog will look at the 'how to' of posting youtube videos and flickr badges to a blog page!

1. The step by step process required to embed You Tube videos into your Blog. Consider using Youtube help or a tutorial from Youtube or Slideshare.

If you want to show a Video from you tube, that is very easy. Only need I little action from you. This is the steps to show a Video from You Tube :

Step #1

  1. Check out http://www.youtube.com
  2. Find your favourite video which you want to post to your blog
  3. Look at to right side. Find → Embed. See the image :

  5. Copy the code under embed. Paste at notepad or another text editor. Close youtube window if you want.
Step #2
  1. Login to blogger with your ID.
  2. Click New Posting.
  3. Choose Edit Html tab
  4. Copy the code at the notepad (embed code) and paste at the column for posting
  5. Click the "Publish Post" button
  6. Video is successfully posted to your blog!

2.The step by step process required to embed a Flickr Badge into your Blog . Consider using flickr help or a tutorial from Youtube or Slideshare.

To display photos on your blog page from your Flickr account, all that you need to do is get the Flickr Badge embed code from Flickr and paste it into an HTML/JavaScript page element.

1. Go the the Flickr website: http://flickr.com/badge.gne and create your badge. If you want more freedom in the number of photos to show and image styling, make sure you opt for the HTML version. Make sure that you choose an image size that will fit inside your sidebar or it will be cut off. You can force the badge to inherit your blog's background by selecting "No Background" in the Layout step of the Flickr badge configuration.

2 .Once you have set up the badge to your liking, copy the embed code:



3. Then navigate to your blog's Template settings and select the Page Elements heading:



4. Click: Add a Page Element:



5. Select HTML/JavaScript:



6. Paste the Flickr badge embed code into the content area.



7. Save the changes and your Flickr photos will now display in a sidebar widget.

Tip: To center the badge within the page element you will need to add the following line of code to the

www.flickr.com
